Journeyhorizon developed ClassHoppa to connect parents with children’s activity providers, combining provider administration, block bookings, free trials, waitlists, ticket types, discounts and digital payments.

Platform and marketplace model

ClassHoppa, built on the Sharetribe platform and developed by Journeyhorizon, is a two-sided marketplace based in the UK that connects children's activity providers with parents seeking local extracurricular activities for their kids, spanning classes, clubs, and holiday camps.

The platform was born out of a real problem its founders experienced as parents: quality children's activities existed in their neighbourhoods, but there was no easy way to find or book them. At the same time, providers were losing time and money to manual admin, payment chasing, and limited marketing reach. ClassHoppa addresses both sides of this gap in one place.

- Activity Providers (Sellers) list their classes, clubs, and camps on the platform for free, managing bookings, schedules, and payments through a single dashboard. Whether they operate on a pay-as-you-go, block booking, or subscription model, providers gain visibility beyond word-of-mouth and access to a growing community of local families, without the overhead of traditional booking systems.

- Parents (Buyers) search and filter activities by location, age group, category, and availability, then book directly through the platform. From a one-off trial class to a full term enrolment, the experience is designed to be fast, transparent, and reassuring, so parents can spend less time searching and more time with their children.

The marketplace is built around a shared-value model: providers list for free and only pay when bookings come in, while parents pay a small platform fee at checkout, keeping the ecosystem sustainable for both sides.
