Embedding a service marketplace inside an existing community application.

Journeyhorizon developed SOL as a Sharetribe marketplace for service and session discovery, integrated into an existing community application through a webview experience.

Platform and marketplace model

Sol is a community app with thousands of users, now enhanced by a two-sided marketplace built using Sharetribe. This marketplace allows users to create and book sessions, seamlessly integrating with the existing Sol app through a web view.

In this marketplace:

- Sellers—who are community members offering sessions—create detailed listings for their services, including session descriptions, availability, and pricing.

- Buyers, who are other users of the app, can browse these listings to find sessions that resonate with them. Once they find a session of interest, they can book it directly through the platform.

- The transactions typically involves booking a session, which could range from one-on-one consultations to group workshops or spiritual sessions.

By leveraging Sharetribe, we aim to provide a smooth and efficient platform that enriches the user experience and expands the community's capabilities.
