Building a B2B marketplace for remote team experiences.

Journeyhorizon developed a marketplace for Remote Social to connect organisations with virtual experience providers and integrated the Sharetribe experience with the company’s existing website and HR tools.

Platform and marketplace model

Remote Social Experiences is a two-sided marketplace designed to connect organizations with providers of virtual and remote experiences, offering a range of activities tailored for team-building, employee engagement, and social interaction in a remote work environment. The platform facilitates the discovery and booking of unique experiences that help maintain team cohesion and morale, regardless of physical distance.

In this marketplace:

• Experience providers act as sellers by creating detailed listings for their activities, which may include virtual workshops, games, wellness sessions, and more. These listings feature descriptions, pricing, availability, and participant requirements, giving organizations all the information they need to select the right experience for their teams.
• Buyers, typically corporate teams or HR departments, browse these offerings, compare different experiences, and book sessions that fit their team’s needs directly through the platform.

The transaction process on Remote Social Experiences involves booking an experience, where organizations select an activity from the available listings and complete the booking and payment process online.

We worked with the Remotesocial team to build a marketplace to host their experiences and create a clean integration between their existing website and HR tools and the Sharetribe Flex platform.
